Message Carbon Copy
Message Carbon Copy is a new Directpage service option that can be added to most pagers that Directpage offers. This option allows a copy of any page to be sent to an email address other than your pager. For example, you could have a copy of every page sent to your cellphone, pda or desktop email program. Regardless if the message is just a phone number or an emailed text message, you can have it delivered to any email address!
Here are some practical applications that customers have used this feature:

Pager was lost and a replacement pager was not available immediately so copies of every page were sent to a cellphone

Customer did not want to carry both a pager and cellphone but did not want to give out their cellphone number to everyone. They gave out their pager number which had a voicemail attached and received notification of voicemail on their cellphone.

Customer worked in an area of a hospital that had spotty reception on both their pager and cellphone. By having a copy of each page sent to their phone, when they entered back into a stronger coverage area, they received any pages that were sent right on their phone.

Customer had their pager number for 15 years and too many people had it to give it up as it was printed on business cards, advertising, etc. Since pager numbers aren't transportable, message carbon copy enable them to have pages sent to their cellphone via the pager phone number.

Customer traveled about 8 times a year to areas outside of their paging coverage area. Rather than pay for nationwide paging coverage, all pages were copied to their cellphone and they used the phone to receive pages when outside of their coverage area.
